The US History section in the book store is so huge, how to know where to even start reading!? Being a fan of biographies and autobiographies I decided to start by reading about the Presidents. But how to choose the best book? The local book store only had a small selection on the shelf. Online book stores are terrible at sorting their inventory and you can't see the proverbial forrest for the trees.
This website started as my reading list when I was first looking for a presidential biography to read. Like so many others, I started with Ron Chernow's “Washington: A Life” and then just kept reading.
Since those early days, this website has become a directory of books I found during my research, both the ones I read and the ones I didn't read. Think of it as the well curated Presidential Biographies section you wish your local book store had! Currently, there are 362 books on the page and I am regularly adding more as readers send me suggestions!
